I learnt once again how true this is today
sometimes you need to work yourself to the bone to realise that the applause will never come
no matter how many deals you close, how many millions you bring forth, you will remain unseen by those who do not want to see you
you stretch until you break, hoping that your pieces might be seen and cherished
but no one notices
so you gather your precious pieces, set them together in wilder patterns
to share the wholeness with those who have always seen and loved you
for they are many
